I spent a day running around Oslo with a friend. The city is amazing and we never got out of the center city. I really think I have to spend two weeks here to fully appreciate it.

This guy was drunk while standing on top of a bus. I was laughing so hard I could barely take a picture. Must've been the death metal playing in the background.

Outstanding photos! Oslo is looking pretty good thru your lens.

There appears to be lots of new construction too which is always good. Thanks for sharing.

Oslo looks fantastic. It'll be hosting Eurovision next May. That would be a sweet time to visit. :)

Thanks guys. :) The weather was gorgeous when I visited. I felt a bit of a Vancouver-vibe to the city. Very friendly people, too.

Lynard Skynard in Norway eh? I approve.

for a city that I long knew was in the same latitude as Anchorage, it sure blows us out of the water :(

Looks like an amazing city. Definitely no coherent skyline for buffs like us but the historic architecture makes up for it.

The US embassy definately brings the city up a couple notches architecturally ;) All that's missing is a big surface parking lot surrounding it and a couple strip malls for the expats to shop at. In all seriousness though... thanks for the great photos! :)

There were a couple of towers going up. Nothing taller than 30 stories, though. I was actually surprised at how much construction there was along the waterfront. In some of the tourist areas the buildings couldn´t have been more than 7 years old.

If you look at the picture again you´ll be able to see a couple of Suburbans. :haha: Two blocks away from the embassy I ran into a security guard from the embassy... at 711.
