Excellent set. Victoria is looking beautiful as per usual. Add a few taller towers and it would have quite the skyline. It's already pretty impressive for its size though.

Coho is the only boat I've ever come close to being sick on. Nice picks, btw.

Wish Port Angeles was at least half as big as Victoria. Can one ride that ferry if one does not have a passport?

the ferry looks so hokey - i guess we are spoiled with BC Ferries - nice shots - need to try that trip one day

Are those the Olympic Mts. or the Vancouver Is. Mountains?

Damn I love the Pacific Northwest. Ever since my trip to Seattle and Victoria in October/November '06, I just can't seem to stop thinking about the possibility of living in the area. I rode a ferry as well, though I did the Victoria Clipper from Seattle rather than from Port Angeles. The scenery is incredibly along the waterways in that part of the continent. Thanks for the great photos!!! :)

Nice pictures. I didn't know Victoria had a skyline. I thought it was along a harbor as well, not on the open ocean.

You won't have any trouble in Victoria, but you'll be in trouble re-entering the States. Maybe you should be advocating a "Free America" .

Is there anything cooler than a seaplane? I think not... Thanks for sharing the voyage!

a flying boat. You just haven't seen one because I'm the only one who owns one. Actually I own a hundred but you never see them because my yard is the size of Northern Texas so I hide them very good and I hide them so good that I can't even find them and I am the best finder in the world and in space so that just means that I hide them THAT good, so that makes me better than you:D

(if u watch SNL you will understand...)

The mountains at the beginning of the photo lineup are the Olympics. VI's mountains are not quite as tall along the southern portion of the Island where Victoria is located.

Coho is the only boat I've ever come close to being sick on. Nice picks, btw.

The seas were definitely rougher than they are on the BC Ferries route between Vancouver and Victoria. But that made for some nice variety, in case scenery wasn't enough.

Glad you guys like the scenery. This really is a neat part of the continent and definitely worth a visit if you find yourself heading towards the west coast.

Thanks, I lived there twenty years before moving back to Ontario. It is scenic, I'll give you that.
