Nice! You took photos of all the important stuff I didn't. When was the last time there were two St Paul threads on the first page here?:D

St Paul blows Minneapolis away in terms of classic old architecture and large intact neighborhoods with it. St Paul is more of a community but is a bit stuck in it's ways. Minneapolis has a major edge in street level vibrancy and dynamic culture. Some people say that St Paul is the last city the east and Minneapolis is the first city of the west, it is a bit of hyperbole but I think there is some truth to it.

I lived in St Paul for 15 years and love them both, but I would rather live in Minneapolis these days. Each has a different feel, it is nice to live in one knowing the other is next door if you want it.

It blows away but Minneapolis is the economical heart of the State!

I happened to have ventured into one of the neighborhoods near St. Paul's Cathedral and was surprised by the many beautiful homes and apartment blocks. Too bad I did not take any photos.

Nice shots! Downtown St. Paul is definitely quiet...it has such beautiful old buildings and streetscapes though! There are some theaters, good restaurants, bars, and quite a bit of new housing, but nothing like Mpls. I often wish we could combine the activity in downtown Minneapolis with the streetscapes of downtown St. Paul.

I could live there or in Minneapolis, but it is way too far from friends and family.
