The IOC is going to be unveiling two television ads to promote the Vancouver 2010 Games. They are called "The Best of Us" and were previously done for Beijing.
This is the first ad for 2010, that will promote or up the hype leading up to Vancouver:
O2RzzZZFpE0
One of the Beijing ads, which in my opinion is much more awesome than the animation ad for 2010.

Another Beijing ad:
hLwUwOHKcyA
And from 1996 to 2006, the IOC ran the "Celebrate Humanity" tv ad campaign. This is the one of the last two, both produced for Torino:

I agree that the first Beijing ad is better than the one for Vancouver.
Also, I don't think the Olympic Village was created to house athletes of quite that size..

I dunno, I really like the Vancouver one. There's less of a focus on the sport, and the bigger theme being the coming together of the world, which I appreciate.

The Vancouver one was colourful and more enjoyable to watch.
I wonder what the next one will turn out to be like.

^ i'm assuming there will be another one. The IOC always does two ads for each Games, except for Athens where it did like 3.
Though given the economy and how much more the IOC will be doling out for VANOC even without additional international sponsors, it's possible this will be the only ad.

The concept of the Vancouver one is actually quite good, definitely better than the Beijing concept.
It is also much more likely to speak to our core audience (Asian tourists...)

I don't have a link to it handy, but the video from several months ago of various torch relays over the years set to Coldplay's Fix You is friggin awesome. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with Vancouver in particular, but I think it's been used to advertise for it..
