Well I'm driving this time.
The hotels sites on the internet are just TMI or propaganda.
What would you suggest for a fair priced overnight stay close to downtown and CFB Halifax,
I have one night there and have not been downtown halifax in 30 yrs. Any placed to suggest for a middle aged man (who loves a cold pint).
Thanks:banana:

I think the prices on hotels vary quite a bit, but there are alot of inns in that neighborhood that would likely be fair priced.

I'm not sure what the prices are. But the Super 8 in downtown dartmouth would be a good spot. Close enough to downtown and around the corner from Celtic Corner. Great place for a pint.

When my father inlaw was in town for my wedding back in May, we put him up in a Premiere Executive Suites apartment on Queen Street. They're not hotel rooms persay. They're really apartments that someone else setup and cleaned so you don't have conceirge or any of that hotel stuff (irrelevant to me), but their price was way better than anything else we were able to find. The Queen Street location (old Mary Queen of Scots Inn), well I would be surprised to find anything cheaper in the downtown area for a quality room. Place was clean and nice and priced right.

The Westin generally has a large number of rooms available on those sites where you pick the rate and hotel class you want and they offer you an unnamed (until booking) hotel. I have read that you get rooms there using that method for $70 a night.
