I was just reminding everyone of why the current primary drawing is the current primary drawing. I'm not being out of place, or out of line, am I, Buck? Some forumers can't figure out why Sherman's is not in the primary and I simply showed them why. I wasn't trying to hijack the thread, rather, answer a question.

Why does everyone prefer flashy cloud/shadow effects over more accurately coloured drawings at the moment?
I hate the over the top cloud effects that are been done by everyone at the moment, aren't we supposed to concentrate on the buildings not the sky.:dunno:

Both look pretty accurate...done with different mindsets, of course. SPE's is very stylized in terms of reflection.

@Jonny - the answer to your question ist pretty simple: Because glass DOES reflect the sky and other buildings. EVERY drawing contains reflections as glass itself has no color. So I ask you why the sky of your drawings is always of a grayish blue - is it because it's raining all the time over there in the UK?

Shouldn't it be our common goal to create drawings that look like a photo or a rendering? For me reflections are the key to achieve this... and besides drawing without reflections would be too easy and boring.

Most UK buildings have grey/blue windows. Thats why they are drawn that way. :???:

I never said I didn't like cloud effects i just don't like over the top effects that over power the rest of the building.
