My computer had to be swept and all my drawings had to be backed up and I haven't been online much for a few weeks and haven't drawn for a while and I decided to do a drawing.
Paris Place in Vancouver. I did the one because Dylan's version is very flat looking.

Cool Taylor!

A little treat for you. I'm going to start another Vancouver condo. Either Governor's or Metropolis. I just need a break from Jai-C's crazy mother of a diagram: Dom Cathedral (Koln Cathedral in Germany) :P

Buck, your Atlanta church is still on the list, but a little farther down. teheh

if you're using photoshop or equivalent.. try playing around with canvas size and resize.. it gives you a different result with each different canvas size. if that doesn't work, try a different program for resizing.. they use different algorithms

Wow Tony you never stop amazing me. Those are both great.

Oh but I have horrible news. After I backed up all my drawings on a disk I lost them and the ones on the disk are all grey so I lost all the drawings I did before this one. :(

Taylor, you gotta burn your stuff to CD buddy!

Thanks for all the complements, I'll definately try out those resize suggestions when I have time (time on my main computer here in Toronto that is.)

Tony you are the king at these things. I tried another condo and they just don't turn out half as good as yours.

This is Aquarius 2

Hey! That's not bad at all!

If you want to try something try adding more shadowing.

I forget what program you're using (Is it Corel Photopaint?).
What you can try doing is using black as the colour and draw lines with gradually lightening transparencies. (As a gradient, try starting at a 30% transparency for the darkest area and work in increments of 5 or 10 until you get to near 100%) Then you merge all these lines to one object, make copies and resize and place to areas you need some shadowing. 8) The more the number of columns or rows of gradient, the deeper the effect.

You mean like on the top left corner?

If that's what you mean I've been doing that for a while.
Like if I was drawing a deck on one of the condos I would do that effect except going downward.

Yeah, I think you're refering to the same thing. ;)

My g/f noted something else that may help you. Clump the "closed blinds / curtains" more. Pretend you have a unit in the building. You're likely to have all the shades closed in one room than one open, one closed. Know what I mean?

Thats a good idea. I'll keep that in mind. Actually I never thought of that. I usually figure each window is a different room most of the time.

I didn't like the way it resized so I fixed it.

Thanks. I love the way you pay so much attention to detail. Like you churches and your older buildings. The thing I like most is you can draw any kind of building and they all come out great. And they don't all look the same. You make them look great.
