LOL, typical Devils game...

defense, defense, robbery by Brodeur, defense, lucky goal by the Devils, defense, defense, defense, weird goal by the Devils, defense, defense, is this game over yet?...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I will laugh at those saying the Wild play boring hockey. Try watching the devils... if you can survive a full game.:haha:

Both the Wild and Devils have played a boring game for years (though I think NJ scored quite a bit when Sutter was coach there).

What impresses me though, is that until last week Minnesota sold out every game in franchise history. On the other hand, when the Flames were in Newark last they played in front of about 8000 people.

Yume-sama

Unfreakinbelievable game by Tim Thomas, and start to the season. 3 GA in 4 games. He should have hip surgery every year.

Caron and Seguin look like they will absolutely be stars in the NHL, Caron even impresses me MORE than Seguin.

They both show tremendous poise, and ability.

And the sad thing is it looks like they may be staying after all.

Not only did Phoenix have a paltry crowd of 6706 last night, the previous night saw minuscule crowds of 8820 in Atlanta and 9802 in Columbus and as we all know these three cities are hockey hotbeds. All three are perfect AHL locales! (not that any of the fans there would notice the difference between NHL and AHL hockey)

And there's about half a dozen junior teams in Canada that draw better than that. Why anyone would want to buy the Coyotes is beyond me.

Yume-sama
Oct 22, 2010, 3:31 PM
6706 was being quite generous from the shots of the crowd. That probably is the number of tickets sold, but... evidently, not the amount of people there.

Too bad, it was a good game for the Coyotes, too.

If you missed the 1st 5 mins of the Oiler/Minny game last night you missed the game.

Although, the Oilers were entertaining in a good way much of the time, with some good hits and watching Taylor Hall (who cannot buy a goal) school their entire team on rushes then miss the net over and over was good.

Well I don't recognize half the names in Flames jerseys tonight, but they're up 5-2...on the Jackets.

I really wish Columbus could be competitive. I think that could be a decent market, and the arena district around Nationwide is the best I've seen anywhere in North America.

If Calgary can do anything close to that around a new arena I'll be downright giddy.

Hmm, I was watching an American feed, and didn't hear anything. That said, I'm watching football too, so I wasn't really paying attention.

Nice to see Bourque get the trick. Unlike the rest of the team, he's been incredibly consistent over the past few seasons.

This is a very common "feature" of American rinks, I've noticed. They apparently think it adds to the game to hear idiots pounding the glass just because someone skated past them.

I also notice it was the only noise coming from the fans at all. It looked like they might have had 10,000 in attendance tonight.

This guy is the weapon and should be brought up as soon as they can, hopefully before they lose another game and end up in last place which is where their headed if they keep this shit up. If he keeps it up and we stay healthy, we should win the division. You guys might think I'm crazy but our 5 on 5 play is way better than previous years. When Markov comes back, the PP will be in the top 5 again scoring at least a goal per game.

No goals in the last 45 minutes or so, but the Flames still pull out a 4-0 win.

Bourque came close to 6 goals in four periods. He's not flashy, but he puts pucks in the net, often.
I noticed several players doing things well tonight. Conroy played a decent game, the defence played well, and Kipper made saves when he needed to.

Kinda early in the season for 99.9% of what goes on in this thread, don't you think?

Mind you, my comments re: Halak/Price have nothing to do with this season. To me it's all about last year's playoffs. Halak was almost Kirpusoff-esque in his sheer dominance. Now we'll see if he can pull it off in the future.

CALGARY — Defenceman Sheldon Souray, farmed to the Hershey Bears by the Edmonton Oilers, is back in the treatment room after breaking his right hand.

Souray was injured Saturday in a fight with Matt Clackson of the Adirondack Phantoms.

Oilers general manager Steve Tambellini didn’t know all the details but has to know this won’t increase the veteran’s trade value.

Nikko stop whining already. Did you watch the game the Leafs played against the islanders when the refs blew countless calls in the Isles favor.

Sometimes, the calls go the otherway. Its the law of the universe. Ying and Yang bullshit. If onw more blown call goes in favor of the buds, their 6 and 1, instead of 5 and 2.

Yep, and experience. He's a great PK guy.

Anyway 4-4, getting interesting again!

Yeah, pretty entertaining game though. Chances at both ends now.

My team won and is in first place. Why would I worry about sleeping at night?

Listen, I know your English is terrible, but you gotta stop using shitty cliches when you don't know what they mean.

Because you haven't made the playoffs in 5 years and probably won't again this year?

Kadri will be here, before we are in any danger of missing the playoffs.

I'll let you guys have your fun for a few more weeks until they start sucking again.

BTW-I just saw Toronto's third goal, Giguere tripped the Florida player a few seconds before Kessel scored. That's 2 goals that shouldn't count.

Wow, intense finish! Decent outcome, but a 4-1 lead shouldn't disappear in just over 20 minutes.

Did you miss the part about my team being in first place?

There must be something in the drinking water.

I guess he was getting payback for being tripped on Florida's goal. Or maybe it was for the two times the Panthers ran him over in the seconds before his trip. That makes three goals that dont count, a bunch of penalties committed by the Panthers that weren't called, and still gives the Leafs the win at 1-0.

It doesn't matter what excuses you make, the Leafs are still in first place.
