Hauser Kaibling Radio Tower is a concrete tower with conical basement.
The tower is not situated on the top of the well-known ski-area Hauser Kaibling, which is 2015 metres above sea level,
but on a plateau 1858 metres above sea level.

Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Theiss Power Plant is one of the most powerful
thermal power plants in Austria. It has an electrical output of 800 MW and consists of
two units, which were built in 1974 and 1976 and are fired with natural gas or oil.
Beside this, it supplies a large district heating network.

Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Zwentendorf Nuclear Power Plant was the only nuclear power
plant ever built in Austria. It is a boiling water reactor with 723 MW electrical power.
However after a referendum on November 5, 1978 concerning the question
if this nuclear power plant should be put in service resulted that 50.47% of the population
of Austria did not want it, it never went in service.
The power plant is used today as storage for spare parts of similiar nuclear power plants in Germany.
In the office building, there was until 2001 a police academy. In 2002 and since 2009/2010
it was used as elementary school.
The building was also used for music festivals. In 2005 photovoltaic panels were installed
on the building.
