Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): The two chimneys of Schwandorf Power Station, which was also known as Dachelhofen Power Station or Else, were the tallest chimneys in Bavaria
and used by a lignite-fired power station, which used until 1982 lignite extracted in pits near Schwandorf.
In 2002 the power station was shut-down, on February 18th, 2005 the chimneys were demolished by explosives.
