CTV News has seen the plans for a new 880-million-dollar federal building, and critics are calling it over the top.
"Concern of cost, concern of oversight, and concern about when this is being done," says NDP Member of Parliament Paul Dewar.
The nearly billion-dollar site will be the new home to Canada's ultra secret security agency and is going to be built beside CSIS on Ogilvie Road.
The campus will host about 1,400 employees, includes walking trails, hiking trails, a sport's field, a Royal Bank branch and an outdoor hockey rink for their exclusive use.
The Union of National Defence employees say it will be the Taj Mahal of spy agencies, but they have their concerns.
Union spokesperson John MacLennan says they fear jobs will be contracted out, compromising national security.
"It's a threat to national security and we've been saying this from the start," says MacLennan.
The union says the government is being far too secretive about the new building. They've even taken them to court to get more details.
