I thought I would start a debate here on what you think the Mongolian equivalent of Canadian major cites are here are mine.
Montreal= Ondorkhaan because they both have french culture.
Calgary= Mandalgovi because they are both sprawling oilboom towns.
Edmonton= Sainshand because they are both important staging centres for oil sands development and refining.
Winnipeg = Suhbataar because they both have large north american aboriginal populations.
Vancouver= Baruun-Urt because they both have temperate maritime climates.
Toronto= Ulaanbataar because they both have major film industries.
Hamilton = Dzuunharaa because they are both blue-collar industrial centres.

Vancouver= Baruun-Urt because they both have temperate maritime climates.
Not that I could possibly take this thread seriously, but is that really the best you could do for Vancouver? :haha:
Baruun-Urt experiences a semi-arid climate (Köppen BSk) with long, very dry, frigid winters and short, very warm summers.

Mongolia once ruled the largest empire on the planet.
Perhaps with this comparison, people will finally recognize that it's Canada's time. I call dibs on New Zealand.
Thunder Bay is definitely the Tsetserleg of Canada. Of that there is no doubt.

Let's nerdify this thread a little (I think I can do that because it doesn't seen that serious to begin with...)
Canadian counterparts of Star Wars planets.
My suggestions:
Toronto = Coruscant
British Columbia = Endor
Alberta = Bespin
Québec City = Hoth
The Maritimes = Kamino
The Maple Leafs = Alderaan
Ottawa = Naboo
Any other suggestions?
