Menkes is releasing new podium suites at Gibson Square Condominiums in of North York City Centre. The collection of suites in the new release features 9’ ceilings and views to the adjacent historic Gibson House Museum and Park. Gibson Square will have convenient direct underground access to the North York Centre Subway Station and Empress Walk Shopping Centre, and it’s just a short walk to the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts, Mel Lastman Square, and the Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre. A multitude of shopping and dining opportunities are right in the neighbourhood.
Gibson Square, designed by Rafael Bigauskas Architects, will feature prominently on the North York City Centre skyline, with two 42-storey towers topped by architectural white roof caps that will be recognizable from miles away. The buildings will share a five-storey, mixed-use podium containing residential suites, retail shops and an extensive collection of amenities.

Among these are 24-hour concierge service provided from the two-storey lobby with its modern classic design. Making a grand statement, the lobby features a spectacular hand-blown glass chandelier and curving black granite staircase leading to the Gibson Club on the second-level. (Is that a Chihuly?)

north york city center is really booming... but it seems to be keeping a suburban highrise feel.

Drove down the Yonge NYCC strip recently, and the amount of cranes and construction activity is impressive. For some reason these towers remind of something you'd find in Seoul (probably because of the odd roof element). Fitting because of the Korean retail presence.

Keep in mind that these towers are relatively large compared to everything that's been built in NYCC. They will have a huge impact and a promising podium.

Now if they can only add more streetfront retail to NYCC, it can almost be called a downtown in it's own right.

I've been to the "The Galleria" at York Mills. Awesome supermarket, great selection of prepared foods. I go there whenever I'm in the area and craving a delicious Korean snack.

Concrete was being pump for the 3 crane to the west of the 2nd one.

They should have the small amount dirt removed from the hole by year end.
