The Mole is 165,5 meters right now. It was 167 till 23 may 1953, when a typhoon caused a collapse of 47 meters of its cusp. The building was restored in 1962, but the new height was 165,5 meters. I'm currently researching the history of this building connected with Italian Risorgimento, since we are celebrating the 150th anniversary of our Unification. My main source is Menietti P. e G. (2010). Il Risorgimento nelle vie di Torino. Itinerari, personaggi, notizie. Torino: Piemonte in Bancarella, editrice Il Punto
This bit of info is confirmed in many other sources, or at least all sources say the Mole has lost its 167m height in 1953. Thank you.
