Sweet pics K, thanks for rolling out and documenting this. Expat, you didn't hear about this? I guess the East Coast media was too busy commemorating the demolition of the WTC. Ooops I mean the collapse from those nasty fires :cool:

What happened? How long?

nobody heard about this? over 5 million people were without power for more than 12 hours - OC to Cabo, SD to Yuma.

It was a crazy day for sure! At least it wasn't too hot like the previous nights.

San Diegans handled it quite well. It became a holiday-ish party-like atmosphere. Bonfires, cookouts and fireworks in my neighborhood.

Awesome pictures. I wanted to go downtown to see what the skyline looked like but couldn't. So I'm glad you took these photos. I kinda liked the blackout, maybe SDG&E should do it more often.
