Description: Announced back in July 2014, Quezon city mayor Herbert Bautista has given the green signal to the Japanese company Mitsubishi Electric to develop the country's tallest structure and the world's 6th tallest structure, after the Burj Khalifa, Ping An IFC, Wuhan Greenland Center, Tokyo Skytree, and the Shanghai Tower.

Equivalent to 200 floors, and a total height of 612m, this tower's height signifies the Independence Day of the Philippines, which is celebrated on June 12, every year .

The groundbreaking ceremony was held back in October 12 2014, which the city has celebrated their 75th anniversary on the foundation of the city.
When completed by 2017-2018, the Philippine Diamond Tower would not only be an icon to Quezon City and Manila, but the entire Philippines.
