This ballpark will be good for Montgomery. Baseball is my favorite sport, maybe I'll go see the Biscuits play next year.

Thanks for the thread topic. Great for Alabama's capital city.

Hey, I hope to see you there Laseter. :)

I love this ballpark because its retro but it not a minor league clone of Baltimore's famous retro stadium. Its very uniquely designed and I don't think I've seen a stadium like this. It almost looks like a village surrounding the stadium seats. It will truely be a great addition to Montgomery!

Interesting observation, cityboi.

One reason for the stadium's Camden Yards' retro look is because the designers of the stadium were the ones who designed the Baltimore stadium (HOK). The building that gives it its "village like" look, was a rail yard warehouse. It housed offices and loft apartments before being chosen as the site for the stadium. Since the building was listed as "historic", the Alabama Historical Commission(?) and the city had to reach a compromise in order to start construction. Part of which was that the outside facade of the building must be preserved and incorporated into the stadium. The upper floor of the building will serve as luxury suites.

Now buildings around the stadium are quickly being bought and renovated, too.

Wow. . .The renderings looks great and construction seems to be flowing quite well. Also, the park is going to be in a great location.

The Mighty Fighting Biscuits?
