Last night while at the Sheraton, I left my coat in the car, so I went into the parking garage to get it. I noticed the sky was orange, and I climbed the to the top level see what it looked like. What I saw was pretty surreal-- the clouds were just a few hundred feet above the buildings and the sky was a blazing orange color. It was very cold as well; the whole scene just "felt" like winter.

I decided to snap some pictures, and for the most part, they turned out pretty decent. Some are a tad bit blurry due to the fact that I don't have a tripod, but they are gorgeous none-the-less!

Enjoy!

Justin, these are great. I really like the one where you can see inside the Grand Reading Room of the library...with all the table lamps illuminated. Looks almost like a church.

Thanks, Dave.

I had one zoomed in on the library, but it came out blurry :(

Cool pictures. The sky was orange like that down here too because of the light scattering in the fog, it was pretty weird.

cool shots. Nashville almost has a Bladerunner-like look going on, which makes all cities look good when it happens. and "orange" sky for the Volunteer state, har-har!!!

this shot sure is surreal...is this a black out for an air raid?

Gotta love that orange sunset. I'm a huge sunset fan myself. Nice photo's, and quite an arrangement.

Justin, you might think about sending some of your photo's into Nashville.gov and seeing if they post any. Here's one from the Nashville website, that would go quite well with some of the ones you posted above:

Nice job DT. I hope you don't miss Nashville too much now that you're moving. Looks like a bitter sweet goodbye series of pics. ;)

Awesome set. I was taking pics of Downtown from a few vantage points around town last night as well!! Got some with the skyline peeking above the fog. SURREAL IS RIGHT!!!! Again, great job.

I do agree. These are great pics Justin. I guess you figured out how to get night photos out of that camera.

Lsyd, you are right about the Blade Runner effect. :)
