That's right.

Birmingham has a bigger skyline than Hong Kong AND Shenzen COMBINED!

The glory of the City of Life. Mega.

I envy Vulcan's view.

Imagine this in 1930.

Wow - the 15th tallest building in the world when built in 1913. I want to live here.

Massive Massey:

Petula Clark sang about Birmingham. Downtown, where all the lights are bright! La La La"

Shall we take in a talkie at the Alabama?

Bellsouth looks as if it could be the headquarters of a booming 1980s company in Tokyo! It is WIN!

A downtown department store! Eat your hearts out, Sprawlanta and Trashville!

Standing on railroad tracks to make a panorama is dangerous. I wouldn't know, though :uhh:

I snuck out at 12:30 last night to take the street senes, that's why! :haha:

It was freaking cold, too... only 29F.

Great photos that really capture the essence of downtown Birmingham !

Ped activity ? One would need a really, really good microscope to see anyone walking in those first few shots :)

Great shots! I have to admit, some of the buildings were completely dark when you took those photos, but I think that's cool in an eerie way. It'd been cool if you hit up 5 Points South too but what you had was definitely cool!

Justin, you really should work for the local Chamber of Commerce. With you and Randy, who knows what millions of tourist dollars this 'lil ol' town could pull in? :D

BTW, have you moved to the 'Ham yet? It seems like it.

Well, if I were mayor... Those buildings would not be dark! They would all be illuminated and have trendy loft apartments inside! :D

I think I will get some shots of Five Points when I come back on Wednesday... The Birmingham Sheraton loves me!!!

Oh, and yes... I almost live in the Ham, LOL... I'm here every week, it seems! I never have any time, though... Since I'm looking at thousands of houses and condos :haha: It will just be a few more months until I'm there for good ;) I decided against the condo in Vestavia Hills and am now looking at properties around 16th Avenue South. There's just so much history in that area!!!

Hmm... Anyone know of anything nice for sale in Southside? :D ;)

In all seriousness, these are the best pictures you've taken up to this point, Justin, and some of the best ones I've seen of Birmingham. Good job man. Now that you've figured out how to use the night mode, you uses it well. :-D
