[Rural King]

Here are some pics of Evansville I took on my way home from northern Indiana back at the end of June of this year. It was late, and I was pressed for time, so they are not nearly as in depth as I would like. I did get a good feel for the city though and really liked it. I hope to go back in the spring and really explore and photograh the entire city and skyline.

The courthouse is as beautiful a courthouse as any in the nation imop.

E'ville is much more impressive once you get the opportunity to travel about the downtown district. There are a couple of outstanding neighborhoods that are reminscent of Savannah, GA ~ only a street removed from the waterfront.

Downtown Highlights?

- The new postmodern highrise office building downtown
- Casino Aztar's hotel and nightlife (one of the largest riverboats in the country)
- The riverwalk
- A few eclectic eateries along the developing Main Street (pedestrian only) corridor.
- residential architecture!
