James Raymond

Well, it's not that bad. Sharpening it really helped.

Great job especially on Aon.

Super! Very nicely done. Your style of drawing works very well in 4:1. These rank up there as some of your best drawings. I think turning up the contrast a little bit might help to bring out some of the deltail lost in the resizing of your Aon Tower.

It needs more detail, and I might be mistaken, but all of the floors above the lobby are the same size until you reach near the top of the office building.

James Raymond

I thought it probably did need a little more detail, Lilton. However, the floors are correct (according to the latest rendering).

Here is the most recent rendering from September, not that it matters because all of the renderings show this. All of the floors accept the top 3 or 4 are even in height:

There are 4 or 5 intervals at which a floor is higher.

Look at where the lattice crosses the first and second times towards the base of the tower.

LMich
Oct 3, 2004, 5:46 PM
Do you have the full plan of the building to show that. I'm looking at only the rendering I posted now. The only thing I can see are a slight pull back from the windows in the lower part of the tower about 4 times, but no floor height increase.

LMich
Oct 3, 2004, 5:47 PM
Yes, the bottom two or three floors are a huge lobby. But, above that until you reach near the top of the tower all the floor are the same height from what I've seen.

That rendering shows exactly what I'm trying to prove, and these renderings will help as well. All of the floors between the extended lobby and the extended top floors look equal in height:

Little suggestion: You could add a semi transparent layer with reflexion on the brighter side of the building.

Sorry I'm a bit late to respond, but yeah, Toronto is my home town and I can guarantee that the logo is indeed red. I've noticed you're right, that it does appear to be kind of gold coloured in some photos. I'm not entirely sure what the reason for that is...it looks like it's just sunlight reflecting off it for the most part. Some photos that demonstrate it better:

http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=201557

Man, those last two are perfect! I especially like the 7 World Trade Center. It looks so much better from side angles than it does angled since it really is only a box (though a tilted one).

James, is it really a 4:1? It resize perfectly! I wish older skyscrapers resized perfectly. lol Then my drawings would look better.

Awesome. I didn't think there was a way of showing 7WTC's unique glass effect in a diagram.

Nitpick: One side needs to be a bit more obtuse.. being a parallelogram and all...
