I recently drew this pic of Fargo's Bank Of The West Tower. The tower is 12 stories and 162 feet tall. Do you think it looks good enough to be submitted???

You know that the scale for the diagrams are 1 pixel = 1 meter, right? If you shrink it down to that scale it would be acceptable. It's good for a first drawing, but you may want to add more detail and lighting effects later.

I thought Dylan shrunk it down to scale later on. Or do you HAVE to actually draw a thing that's one pixel to one meter???

You have to draw it at 1:1 or any other scale. But if you draw at another scale you have to shrink it down to 1:1. BTW, I'm going to move this to the diagram section so you can get more advice from skilled drawers.

yes u have to do it and I recomend u ALWAYS to draw in this scale cuz I used to do it like u and it's a waste of time and also it loss a lot of quality ;)

That means if I do a drawing of say for example, the Fargo Radisson hotel (208 feet tall), then the thing should be drawn at only 63 by 43 pixels???

Well, you have to guess the width, but yes, that's the general idea.

Yep, check my diagram out. If u look at my newest drawings u will see they are better than the old ones (the old ones are all Merida's buildings except the Hyatt hotel) and that's because now I draw in the same scale (1:1) ;)
Cheers ! :)
btw what program are u using?????

MS Paint. It's the best I've got, really.

I suggest you download Photoshop or Paintshop Pro - these programs offer endless opportunities to draw...

Definitely download PaintShop Pro.
When drawing, you can draw at whatever scale you prefer. I almost always draw at 1:1 (unless a historical building), but there are pro's and con's to either.
BTW- Not bad for a beginner. I was in Fargo last month and was quite surprised to see that it had a couple well-established buildings.:)

and dont forget that the bottom of the diagrams is white! You must always have the edges of your drawing slightly gray, if you want to see it !
welcome!
