Finally I'm ready with Turning Torso:

But I'm unsure of the height, is it 190 m? I've seen different heights in different places

Nope, it's in Västra Hamnen (in the Bo01 area). I do recomend going there, the whole area is looking pretty good.

Ok, it's the nearest skyscraper from the place I live. 20 min with bus.

I think it has been under construction for a little more than a year.

Is that the right height for a skyscraper after abut a year?

There was a lot of work done underground of course to build such a structure, I don't know how much concrete they poured in that hole, but it was a lot. :)
Västra hamnen (western harbour) in Malmo is very well worth a visit. It is not only the Turning Torso that is worth watching, it is a lot of interesting projects going out there because they are rebuilding the whole area. And it is a beautiful scenery, with the water so close and a beach not far away, and also the Oresund bridge in the background. Excellent scenery.

But will it stand like other buildings? You know, like the Empire State Building for example..

i dont think theyd build it if it wouldnt stand....there is mathematics to figure those things out.

Sweden is very earth quake safe, I've never heard of any earth quake taken place here.
It may look unstable on the drawing but from another angle you can see that it's just twisted.

We do have earthquakes, you know. Strongest ever was about 3.5 iirc. But the closest faultline is down in the Alps, our quakes are from the land bouncing back from being under 2.5km of ice thousands of years ago. :)

Georgia and Alabama had one a couple months ago. The biggest ever- 4.9 i think. It was so cool. About 5 o'clock in the morning, woke everyone up. :)
