In 1908, the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi proposed a giant hotel for Lower Manhattan, on the site of what was (and will be again) the WTC Site. It's a really cool building, but I can't find a diagram of it anywhere on SSP. BTW, I've seen some renderings where the building's facade is white, so that blueish color in the article is probably not accurate.

One should replace in http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=83200 "Began 1908" by "Began of planning 1908". Otherwise one could suppose that some kind of construction work started, but was later stopped.
