Done - is the NY Inside Guide a better source for height than emporis.com?

For some of the more obscure bldgs. it provides better coverage than Emporis. However there are times when they have different floor numbers and height than Emporis. I tend to trust the more local source.

I see you deleted this building due to improper dimensions. I would be interested to see what information you are using to come to this decision. If it just your judgement, that fine, I try to collect some information to confirm whether that judgement should be supported or disputed. The building as many in this part of Manhattan is build on a block that is not square. I know the southeast perspective gives the thinnest profile, while the northwest gives the widest. Thus, when you are looking at photo you need to know what direction or face of the building you are viewing. My draw was the widest profile.

It's obviously too wide. Look:

It's a hard building to photograph, no doubt, but your drawing is too wide. Actually, it would be great to hear other's opinions on this.

The first two picture are from the southwest orientation, which presents a narrow face of the building, with the southeast being the absolute narrowest. The last picture is closer to the orientation I drew which is more northwestly. But,your pictures omit the lower portion of the build which has more structure still. I will upload the pictures I used tomorrow I think they give a better sense of the size of the lower portion.

If you really feel this strongly about it, I will approve it if you resubmit it. I do want to warn you, though, that 1:1 is not always the best and results in drawings often wider than the buildings really are. You may want to draw at a slightly larger scale.

I value consistancy in evaluation rather than if the drawing is accepted or not. I drew the ITT building which has very similar dimensions to The Crest and it was accepted with little fanfare, so, perhaps you understand that I have to question a decision that is not consistant with the precedent set. I'm not trying to cause trouble, nor do I want to be labelled as a malecontent but, I do need to understand.

I accept your offer and out of fairness I will attempt to narrow the north face of the building. In addition I have provided a source of additional pictures of The Crest which shows some aspects of the building that were blocked in the pictures you displayed. I would post them but the person is looking to make some money off the pictures, so, it would not be proper for me to show them here.

And yes I agree with your assessment 1:1 does not always work. There are several buildings that I have drawn at 2:1 or higher the most recent being 515 Park Ave.
