36 in Edmonton in 2006 according to the paper. Go Team Edmonton!!

Are some of you guys actually glad to see murders happen? Turning which city has the most murders into a competition just sounds kinda sick to me.

Is that for the city proper, or the metropolitan city?

Its for the island of Montréal. I'm sure it does not include Laval.

Laval had at least one murder, a block from my place :D

The island had 42 murders, and the rest of the suburbs probably had a grand total of 3 or 4 murders.

Buffalo is quite scary downtown after dark. Not a good idea to walk around it.

Sasaktoon finished the year with 8, down one from 2005. All of them were on the west side, which should shock no one familiar with the city.

New Orleans is already at 7 for this year with only 200k people. That city has no future..

London had 4 (not 100% sure) for 2006, a lot better than the 14 we had in 2005.

At this rate, they will break 400 murders by next Christmas. Scary thought. That's about how many murders all of Canada has every year, and we have about 90 times the population.

A Canadian couple was attacked in a home invasion. Mother killed and father took four bullets protecting their little girl.

Make that 300,000 for Buffalo.

North Bay had zero homicides in 2006 - the last murder here was in 2002 and that happened at the NB Psychiatric Hospital.

Well aren't you guys just wonderful, eh?

Do you know the numbers for Sudbury or Sault? I know the remote communities of NWO (combined population ~120,000) is at least 15 this year. Most of those murders were on first nations.
