Interesting Facts/Records (in own words): Taldom transmitter is a very large broadcastng facility for long- and shortwave at Taldom, Russia. On the site, there are two antenna systems for longwave broadcasting. One consists of several guyed masts 257 metres tall, arranged in a row. The second one consists of a central mast 275 metres tall around which are at least 3 guyed masts arranged in a circle. This system is used for the 2500 kilowatt transmitter for longwave broadcasting on 261 kHz, the most powerful broadcasting transmitter in the world!
