I was in Ithaca for the first time in two years last weekend for the Cayuga Sound Festival. I was thoroughly impressed with the continued construction downtown. There were lots of new residential units and buildings downtown, which might by why there seemed to be less vacancies fronting Ithaca Commons then I remember.
Another interesting observation, I saw deer roaming along the sidewalks of East Buffalo Street. They didn't seem to mind my presence when I walked out to my car Sunday morning. Unfortunately, I didn't get to make it to Ithaca Bakery this trip. Maybe next time. |

I was only briefly in Collegetown (despite staying a few blocks down on East Buffalo Street). I did take note that several of the large mixed use developments that were under construction the last time I was there, were completed. Hopefully, I will have more time to explore on my next visit.
