That is a stunning reclad in Hamilton. Well done!

Another not so great Ottawa re-clad. Pic or the original, followed by 2017 attempt and finally the far worse 2020 paint job.

That is/was the standard colour scheme for the REIT owner. There's dozens of towers across Canada with that scheme.

Some better renderings of the Trebla building re-clad and adaptive reuse (office to residetial).

A recent Ottawa reclad. A 1965 office building in the CBD.

Recald of a concrete late-70s, early-80s residential tower. From dellisd on Rail Fans Discord.

A few from Ottawa.

Compared to so many terrible re-clades and paint jobs at Lees, Centretown, Elmvale Acres, this is very well done.

Here's the 2007 streetview from the other side of the building.

Another is the old Trebla Building, renamed the Slayte, in the Escarpment District. Conversion from office to residential. With the right mix of tenants along the ground floor retail, it could help bridge the gap between the CBD and the slowly redeveloping LeBreton area, the Escarpment District being quite dead for such a dense residential neighbourhood.

'The Slayte'. Ottawa...where we paint every old building charcoal and/or white, and give them ridiculous names. (and literally everything becomes 'Luxury Rentals')

Here's a pic from the front. "Framing" the building with the new material but keeping the concrete strips near the middle just makes this so much worse.

The far larger West tower is finally getting some attention.

I wonder what the plan is for this area, I don't think we have any renders.

I think we can change the status from 'Planning' to 'U/C'. Also, this short duplicate thread needs to be folded in or deleted.

Does anyone know what's going on with the abandoned hotel? It's still red brick in the reclad renders. I'm assuming it's privately owned.
