The incredible thing about the Chrysler is that it was essentially a cheaper building than what was originally supposed to be constructed on that site.

Was it cheaper because they used brick instead of stone?

One of the greatest lobbies in any skyscraper today. Too bad, modern towers are not built with this same kind of grandeur.

Sadly alot of clients view lobbies as a waste of space, according to one book I read:(

Those are the best photos of the lobby that I've ever seen.
It's like an art deco fever dream.

sky i am in awe of your lobby shots :tup: wow! -- i have the same, but mine did not come out well. too dark and crowded in there when i tried it (on ohny day), much less my limited talents and crappy point n shoot haha!

The lobby is mind-blowingly fantastic.
