Is Staunton a fantasy city or is it from a game or something?

New Major Updates

Staunton Point
The Staunton Point District is going to be like a Central Park, styled neighborhood. The District consists of mostly midrise 1920's buildings, I really like this area, the area really balences out the skyline from the ocean.
http://img240.imageshack.us/img240/6614/ghj2rk.jpg

Trenton District Towers
These Two towers have always been one of the tallest in the city, yet they where never textured even though they where one of the first buildings created. I finally textured them, they are both Residential Buildings and are called the Jefferson Towers and the Penthouse.
http://img58.imageshack.us/img58/7582/ghj3dc.jpg

Staunton Square
Well More like north of Staunton Square. The American International Building look alike has been moved, since it was always covered by the JC Summit Entertainment Building.

Before
http://img463.imageshack.us/img463/4126/ghj7ap.jpg

After
http://img459.imageshack.us/img459/7843/ghj3rq.jpg

The Morgenn Gleason World Headquarters has been created (name based off Morgen Stanley) which is based off the Morgen Stanley world Headquarters in New York.

Building on Right
http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/2893/ghj5pb.jpg

Also I added a Modern Arts Museum at the end of Staunton Square, a Skyscraper at this spot would ruin the skyline,

Backside

Frontside from Staunton Square
http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/7884/ghj5ra.jpg

I also added a few more buildings in Staunton Square, nothing special.

Koster & Associates Plaza
The Koster & Associates Plaza was the second building to be created after the Galviston Enterprises Building. But after a while the building has practiclly became invisible, behind all the taller buildings. This building uses textures from my diagram of 29-39 South Lasalle in Chicago. (also the small older building in the diagram was used to texture the City's second tallest building)
http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?bu...rawingID=40889

So I added a second twin tower hopefully this makes the buildings a little more visible. The original is supposed to be built in the 80's, the New tower started construction in 2004, and halted in early 2006 due to financial problems. The Tower is on-hold and has an unfinished top. But eventually should be finished

Classic Skyline Shot
Staunton Square was really crowding up the skyline, I had to shortenen a few buildings.
http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/5959/ghj8el.jpg

Dose anyone have a cityscape/building shot requests?

Patrick Jun 28, 2006 11:29 PM

:psycho:!!! Amazing!

Where did you get those trees? From the sketchup site?

Patrick Jun 29, 2006 9:01 AM

thanks! and yes those trees are from the 3d warehouse.

I made a map of downtown, it shows the different districts of the main Downtown Area. Each district has its own style,

Staunton Pointe: Upscale, Historical, 1920's Residential Buildings
Trenton: Upscale, Highrise, Clustered, Towering Condos
Plaza District: Open, Plazas, Gardens, Tallest Buildings
Staunton Square: Flashy, Viabrant, Exciting, Times Square

These districts are still in progress

Jefferson Heights: Not sure really, Upscale? or Industral?
Torrington: Basicly Almost like the Plaza District but nicer
Murray Park: Soho District Feel, Arts District Maybe?

I hope the map isnt too confusing :)

foxmtbr Jun 29, 2006 9:07 PM

Wow, you named all the buildings! Nice job, I really like it! (escpecially the trees) :D

Patrick Jun 29, 2006 9:28 PM

Thanks! I named the significant buildings, (mostly all the tall bldgs :) )

I've been messing around, and here is a picture of the top floor office suite of the 21st Century Tower.
