What's that Asia Star catamaran? Is it a ferry or some sort of cruiseship?

hkskyline Dec 1, 2007 4:00 AM

^ Should be a cruise ship. We don't use such big boats for ferries here. :)

That was the ssc Radisson Diamond former cruise ship of RSSC. She is from the 1992 at Radisson Seven Seas Cruises but now sold to Asia Cruises... but wonderful photos. It is said the Maxim Gorkiey from Phoenix would go sometime next to the brokers in Alang but nothing confirmed upto now.

The shot of the Maxim Gorkiy shows her on her recent stop in HK. That's officially the final World Cruise for the Maxim Gorkiy - but you are right, her fate is not decided yet. That ship had a colorful history as ex Hamburg and ex Hanseatic...

Congrats for the recent wonderful pics. Yeah, unfortunatly, she had been finally broken-up as they saaaaaadly did to mv Norway as well. :( For God Sakes they save QEII- Well btw, Bahia of Hamburg Süd was from Alianca of Brazil, merged to that company and had the hull from blue to orange painted. ^The above pic is nice for a film.
