Not much info on this, there are some possible designs but it's not certain which one is the final one.

If it turns out to be taller than Greenland Plaza by roof height, Deji Plaza will have a massive presence in the city.
I don't know if Xinjiekou Square is a central location though.

Drivel. Are they building Libeskind in China these days?

Not bad.
As always, it's going to come down to the quality of the skin.

I love this forum. One day, out of the blue, you come across a supertall under construction you've never heard of before. Thanks for making me aware of this. I frankly liked almost all of the proposed versions.

i had the same reaction as Troubadour. The spire on the corner I think is indeed original to Libeskind. If not in NY or Philadelphia, then why not in China?

This photo was taken in Sept 2, 2011. It is now about 270m. 50m to go. The claddings are already starting

It's now already the tallest building in Xinjiekou.

This has got to be the world's most mysterious skyscraper. It's well under construction but no one knows what the official design is lol.

RI_chard Sep 15, 2011 1:38 AM

The final design is the one on the 6th floor. 324 meters. Im pretty sure.
