I had been to Singapore and had the privilege of observing these gardens. They are beautiful!
They have a similar arrangement at the international airport too. Actually such type of gardens are not a modern phenomenon. Who can forget the hanging gardens of babylon? http://s2.thingpic.com/images/Sa/ede...8kh6ikPYV.jpeg https://www.thinglink.com/scene/511169911435821057 |

These designs are awesome! I hope a rich oil baron builds a city of these as opposed to just tall buildings. They are beautiful and eco friendly!

related i saw about building on the ocean:
10 Structures That Could Help Us Build Civilizations on the Ocean Many visions of the future involve people living in the middle of the ocean. This makes all kinds of sense, since oceans make up two-thirds of the planet's surface. Plus you can live independently, free from corrupt governments and the like. The biggest question, though, is how can you go about doing this? And the good news is, there are plenty of ways to stake out some marine real estate. Here are 10 incredible structures that could allow you to live on the ocean. http://io9.gizmodo.com/5927543/10-st...e-on-the-ocean and underwater skyscrapers: Underwater Skyscraper is a Self-Sufficient City at Sea Ocean levels are rising around the globe, so rather than tethering our buildings to the sinking shoreline why not suit them for a life at sea? That’s the approach behind the Water-Scraper, a futuristic self-sufficient floating city. A special mention in the eVolo Skyscraper Competition, the design expands the concept of a floating island into a full-fledged underwater skyscraper that harvests renewable energy and grows its own food. http://inhabitat.com/underwater-skys...t-city-at-sea/ https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...058a78826d.jpg |
