Oh my god its beautiful. Shop has been knocking it out of the park, and are actually paying attention to crowns instead of this trend of flat capping, which can work for some buildings, but IMO the tallest towers should never be flat. Like the days of the 30s with the tallest having these large majestic tops, this and Steinway are getting that perfectly.

Ploppalopp Nov 9, 2015 5:52 PM

That is so beautiful. And it's really tall. Incredible

Doubleu1117 Nov 9, 2015 7:01 PM

And I glad it's not another blue glass box. It has real character and its unique.

yankeesfan1000 Nov 9, 2015 7:21 PM

Absolutely gorgeous. I never thought I wold say this, but I think I prefer this to not only Verre but also 111 W. 57th...

Design-mind Nov 9, 2015 7:49 PM

Wow this is gorgeous! This will be Brooklyn's iconic tower!

SkyscrapersOfNewYork Nov 9, 2015 9:26 PM

*gets up and starts clapping*

Wow! SHoP has exceeded my wildest expectations! I'm getting really excited for their designs of 360 10th and 80 South Street after seeing this.

This is going to add such a dynamic to the skyline. Add this with the near super tall in JC, and NYC is going the route of Hong Kong with super talls scattered on opposite flanks of the river/bay. :D

dendenden Nov 9, 2015 11:29 PM

too good to be true

TechTalkGuy Nov 9, 2015 11:49 PM

I can't believe I missed this one!

Wait a sec, the tallest in Brooklyn?
Will it have an observation deck?

The render looks great!!

*Gets up, puts life savings into mutual fund, buys tent, books one way flight to New York, camps out at 340 Flatbush until sales center opens*

Well now. That's a good looking supertall.

Not to mention the 900+ building going up in LIC.

I love JDS. They are the best NY developers, bar none.

God, please reward them with lots of financial success so they can keep building beautiful towers for us.

NYguy Nov 10, 2015 3:10 AM

Love it. Not surprised by SHoP here, I knew we would get something stunning, and fitting of New York City...

The views from this tower will be truly awesome. It's also fitting that the borough of Kings will have a nice crown.

Yesh222 Nov 10, 2015 4:31 AM

I'm finding the old background for that render amusing. You can see 432 in the background on the right-hand side, still under construction.

NYRebel Nov 10, 2015 4:46 AM

WOW ! ! ! !

One of the best renderings I've seen for the borough (maybe even any where in the city!)
It truly has classic "Gotham" feel and it's fitting! I love it. THIS has to be our building.

Extell and City Point Tower 3, your move! They have to match this beauty.

i'M SURPRISED. The thing looks too good to be true and I will be interested once again when it's in the ground, other than that It is just a dream for now.
Brueklen is getting too big for its boots if you ask me. I highly doubt such a tower would be built in Brooklyn and I'll believe it when I see it! I predict it now, this tower is the one that will not be built in this current boom. The cycle is getting stretched out too long as it is. The last boom petered out with many many proposals thrown to the side. I think this one, given it's dodgy location (beside many slummy stores and downtrodden rentals), is not a sure thing to make money for the developers. It's a risky proposition compared to the major towers in Manhattan going up. Again, I'll be ASTOUDED if such a tower, which looks almost 1500 feet from that photo, would rise now. The area is not ready for such a prime tower. A few years ago you had feces like the Brooklyner going up and the Forte catering to working class renters.
