The red buildings are my personal wish list. Most of the past proposals that died deserved to die, but the Mandeville? It should have been built. On the other hand, look at all the blue ones that are under construction or near completion. |

I don't even know what to say about this. I don't know what reality this person is living in where 29+ story buildings in Philadelphia are "strange." May not have noticed the 45 story tower looming over them a block away. |

Obvious that CDR Committee would agree that the split personalities is awful but am a little surprised they preferred a modern building. But if that's the case, Toll needs to do more than just plop a glass tower on a brick podium like 2116 Chestnut.
Of course...I could also totally see Toll ignoring these recommendations. Time will tell! |

Well... for those who want to see this building come up, that's a step in the right direction.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. While the preservationists dick around with this lost cause, they could instead be focusing their energies on the rest of the buildings on Jewlers Row. Or are they going to wait until the next development comes along? The preservationists in the city must work proactively in identifying historical properties, rather than trying to protect any old building facing demolition. Get it together folks.
