How tall will phase 6 be ?
According to the model, it looks taller than Sorrento. |
DO they really need the glass bubble? It seems likie an unnecessary waste to me. I'd rather have open sky above me than a bubble that's not even completely enclosed. It seems like it will get really hot in there in the summer.
|
Nice one Aboveday, it's great to see some progress on P7 (the hole is MASSIVE). It's a real pity though that the buildings behind are so ugly.
|
The Harbourside, right next to US7 is not ugly.
Well, nobody will look at them anyway. |
US7 was cancelled?(well the one i've known. the beautiful one)
:hell: that sucks, that building was going to be beautiful. |
Yep, I definately liked the crystal version better than this box-like shape with some sort of hollow wall structure at the top. It just stinks to build a supertall box these days, when we have the technology to make something awesome. Why do the really nice proposals always have to get changed or cancelled!? Argh.
|
it does have a wall structure now that i see the photos...how high is the actual roof?
when is USP7 to be complete? |
I'de personally consider the top of those walls to be the roof. Actually it really depends on how they turn out.

It will be completed in 2007 |
hmmm...its been u/c over a year and a half now and you cant even tell that a building is U/C there...i know steel rises faster than the base but 2007 seems unbelievably early:uhh:
|
^Buildings in most asian countries usually build up real fast due to the strong asian work ethnic. I don't know about north american cities, but you seem surprise that it gets completed in 2007.
|
Completed in '07? Hah! Maybe topped out.
|
^what i want to know is why all those people said this building is having problems...i sure hope it goes up all the way through...if it ends up like SWFC it will be ashame
|
I think the exterior will be finished by mid- to late-2007. In any case, I can't wait
Hopefully the developers will pack some more nice surprises or goodies into the building, but I'll be fine with just what's already expected of the building. Union Square has a monstrous presence from ground level...even the Harbourside and Sorrento alone are freakin' massive. It gets me every single time I pass by. And it gets my parents, too, which is a cool bonus :D |
GUARANTEED US7 in 2007.
i'm with you superchan-- Harbourside is sooo massive, US7 will be Godzilla!!  see you all there! :D ps swfc rip |
The tallest tower of Sorrento is amazing.
ps swfc rip ? is it officially cancelled ? |

Fabb ,US6 will be taller than 280m,and 291m is the only figure i heard before.
Hey guys, maybe we could have a meeting at the restaurant on the top floor when US7 is completed! |
The end of 2007 is 3 years and 8 months away. Plenty of time to finish this building. Look at how fast the ESB went up.
