I will miss seeing him, always would put a smile on my face. I hope he will continue to live on in the spirit of this city. Lets keep his memory alive and Keep Austin Weird!!!

Sorry to hear he died. I'd never met him, but had seen him countless times around town and even walking down my street.

I first saw Leslie in front of a Safeway at Lamar near Runberg in the late 80's. I parked next to him, he had a big wooden trailer thingy and he was wearing a thong and high heels and protesting Safeway for some reason or another. I thought he was a really ugly lady at first then realized it was a real ugly dude. Frankly the guy grossed me out. Apparently he was intelligent, came in 2nd in his bid for mayor, and captured the hearts of many people, for that he's one up on me, but I probably would look better in a thong and heels than he did. RIP.

You should post a picture of yourself in a thong and heels and let us decide. :P

But if you post a pic in thong and heels, you must bend over and touch your toes while being photographed from the rear. That's the only way to make a fair comparison. I have seen Leslie stop traffic on Congress Ave. with that swooping toe touch move. He was a true original.
