The "tour CGM" is part of a redevelopment project, Euroméditerranée, that started ten years ago.
Three high-rises are currently planned, including CGM. (The other two are designed by Jean Nouvel and Massimiliano Fuksas)

That's true. I've been there several times and I'm very skeptical about this location.

This will be a very nice building.

I actually like the location. Cities the world over are filled with virtually unusable plots wedged between infrastructure. Lowrise infill won't work. The only option is something which will elevate the occupants above the noise of the highway. Ergo a tower.

It's land use at least.

It has a striking design, very modern look.

The core is appearing !

How could I have forgotten about this building..! I remember this being one of my favorites proposed, and after all this time it's shaping together quite beautifully. :)
