MELBOURNE | 380 Melbourne | 217 M / 712 FT | 67 L

Finally a proper mixed used proposal. Again in the north of the CBD which is historically been underdeveloped compared to Bourke -> Flinders street (that's because the main station - Flinders St - is down in the south and in this day and age there is far more residential construction going on).

The first render - when I saw it on OzScrapers - almost had me wetting my pants because it appears to offset itself from the grid (yes please!!) but the latest renders: I really dont know what to think.

2 sub levels of tenancy carpark, ground retail, 11L commercial carpark/11L office facing lonsdale (how that works with floor-ceiling heights i dont know), plant & restaurant, 10L resi, plant & gym, 22L resi, plant

east view. precast carpark podium. remainder is glass and galvanised/stainless steel metal sheet cladding, plans show no precast above podium

good balance of uses. carpark operator should be easy, not too much by way of office space to lease and a fair chunk of apartments

Hiap Hoe joins forces with Brady for $500m Melbourne high-rise

Listed Singaporean developer Hiap Hoe has formed a joint venture with local player Brady Property Group to develop a $500 million high-rise apartment and hotel project in central Melbourne.

The site at 380 Lonsdale Street is already controlled by the Singaporean developer, which won the green light last year to develop a two-tower proposal.

It was one of the last major projects within the CBD to be approved by state planning minister Richard Wynne before strict new controls were introduced last September.

Hiap Hoe said the joint venture with Brady would develop the site into residential, commercial and office space and a hotel.
