Looks awful!
|
I like it, although looks a little short in the renderings for 50 floors.
Also wonder how they get the 'Readybrek Glow'?? (Folks from England in the 80s will get the reference) |
|
Horrendous. Take it back to Miami and leave it there.
|
I like it! its different then the norm.

50 floors, what are we looking at here, about 170 meters to 175 meters?
Or 160 to 165 meters? |
The random balcony pattern on the main tower looks 100 times better than the rest; and finally a building with proper balconies. Not everyone wants to go out on a glass balcony. I sure don't.
They should keep that motif on the entire building rather than opting for that boring wrap around design which we already have on CASA 1 and CASA II. That said, its already better than two-thirds of the condos built in the last 5 years. The last thing Toronto needs is another City Place, Pinnacle, Fly, or Festival Tower. |
I agree. In fact, I'd rather the left half of that building (in the render) was chopped off, then we'd be left with a decent looking point tower. Also, the brick base isn't working. The brick section reminds me of some public housing project.
I'd prefer a more conservative and airy base with classical proportions. |
That's a hulk of a tower- wide.

I've always associated red or black brick with high end. Hue of red makes all the difference though. It needs to be a deep, rich, red. |
Will the two old brick buildings on Yonge St. remain? They would fit into the corner of the building in the rendering.

This is the potential massing study (could be taller). http://www.candidbling.com/vic-lombard2.jpg How the site looks today. http://www.candidbling.com/vic-lombard.jpg |
I updated my drawing based on the most recent render I could find.
