New dual-branded property now added to the Hilton website; the Hilton Garden Inn Montreal Midtown and the Homewood Suites Montreal Midtown. Both currently accepting reservations for January 2021.

I am not sure what the target market is. It is within walking distance from Station Namur, more or less across Autoroute 15 from the former Blue Bonnets Raceway.

Man, I remember when the Quebec/Montreal subforums were the liveliest of all on SSP (early 00s). You could now hear a mouse fart.

yes, I did check it out several times in the past. Is it still under the iron grip of Malek (who was...not particularly pleasant at times when he was on SSP [banned])?

It's much more civil and pleasant now. Has been for quite a while.

Nice to hear, because that aside, it was a great resource for Mtl construction and urban issues. And all the gang from SSP was over there.

What is this building in Old Montreal? It looks so ugly. Why don't they renovate or demolish?

The action is pretty much on Agora Montreal now: https://forum.agoramtl.com

We were tired of Malek's iron grip ;)

Been checking it out without being subscribed, seems ok.
I find the multiplication of forums for Montreal/Quebec is mostly diluting the information, everyone pulling the sheets on their side.
I'll see if I join this new one.

It is so sad to see the death of this formerly vibrant subforum.
