^^^^

Now that I get to see how the glass looks, this is going to be one glorious tower!

^^^ I just think it's always prudent to reserve final judgement until we see the finished product but I've always liked the Library Tower/UB and I don't really care about the LA-SF rivalry. I'm glad that we have both of these two very unique global cities in the state. What is becoming obvious to me though is just how much of an impact the Salesforce Tower is going to have on the SF skyline.

sorry, the Pyramid is clearly waaaay taller still ;)

I haven't been to SF yet since this tower began, so I've been just judging by the photos which is much different than being there in person. Some photos you can't really tell how enormous the tower is, but the photo above really gives me an idea! I can see it now! This tower looks like it's going to be much more impressive than what they got going in LA. This photo blew my mind when I zoomed in and imagined it all completed. Others photos were not showing me the truth!

This photo is a good example of a photo that doesn't give you the truth. Salesforce looks pathetic in this photo. :haha:

It's just a matter of perspective...literally.

Chek out this from Reddit by @faunz: http://i.imgur.com/LeQ4JiC.jpg

A not exactly revelational article on how the techies are transforming the skyline and the City. https://techvibes.com/2016/10/11/san...lesforce-tower

^ Leasing roughly half the building, not the whole thing, as the story says

"The Salesforce Tower, when finished, will be the tallest building in California, and end the Transamerica Pyramid’s 44-year reign as San Francisco’s highest tower. With its rounded top, the 1,100-foot-tall tower will forever alter the city’s skyline."

Hmmm

mt_climber13 Oct 12, 2016 8:12 AM

1 foot taller than LA tower (yes the LA tower is actually 1,099 ft. Tall not 1,100 ft.)
Oh please be true :D

It might look like it, but if you zoom in on the web cam, and measure floor-to-floor, at various floors, they appear all to be at the same height.

Lmao. Who did this rendering of Salesforce? When you compare it to the Transamerica Pyramid in the background it looks like Salesforce could be maybe 3,000 feet tall. :haha: Too bad the project engineers didn't just look at this rendering and go by what they saw.
