This is the first supertall skyscraper for Kunming China. It may already be under-construction, or at least it is getting close. Notice how the design resembles One World Trade Center in New York.

LOL, it's funny. At first glance, I thought about the Freedom Tower. It also reminds me of the new tallest in Hong Kong.

i hope theres a redesign...if not i hope it doesn't go through...

although i see the obvious resemblance to the FT, im glad they didnt make it look exactly like it. The glass and round edges saved the design.

at least it's not hideous. i kinda like it.

even the bottom 200 feet or so taper back in.... this holds a real resembalance to 1wtc, and in the first and second renderings, the top reminds of the old freedom tower...

the top could look really slick if it was lit up dramatically at night. any renderings of it at night?

i hope they go for for another design too this is a rather bad move.

And its even worse considering this is their first supertall and it will probably be a landmark for a long time in that city.

^ Exactly. A definite improvement. And frankly, its not as though the Freedom Tower design is particularly unique anyway. There are a number of similar designs out there already.

Ugh, I disagree. While the Freedom tower is not the most original or best design in the world it is significantly better than this stubby turd.
