Awesome photos!

fantastic as always.
http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7273/7...a2d2d5b7_b.jpg awesome. reminds me of something straight out of Koyaanisqatsi. |
Wow this is one of your absolute best! Austin may be weird but Houston is funky. :-)
|
Great photo set. Especially like the Rice University area aerial pic. Do you have any of the West University area (probably one of the top desirable neighborhoods in the country). I'm a bit biased since members of my family are in West U, but it is an incredible place.

I really dont have any photos of that hood. I ride my bike through it all the time and its a gorgeous neighborhood, but I find it hard to take decent photos in it for some reason. |
Great stuff. will have to join you guys next time you go out

For sure mang. |
Lookie what we got, here. An awesome houston threadrobably one of the best I've seen.
But, WTF with the random horses in the abandoned Third Ward shot? lol So confused. |
Beautiful thread and pictures, photoLith! Thanks for sharing.
I like very much your long exposure shots, they´re really sharp and colorful. Aerial views are great too. Houston seems to be a very nice city. I like its buildings and skyscrapers. I´d like to visit. Congratulations and greetings from Madrid, Spain! |
Houston is really starting to intrigue me. Photo threads like this sure do help. The city has a soul, and it comes through in these pictures.
|
Great photos!!!!! Thanks for the food tips too!

Nice stuff. I would love to see your take on some of the brick homes in Third Ward's Riverside Terrace neighborhood. I would also like to say I miss seeing Houston in the spring/summer when the city is so lush and green. During the holidays is not the best time to bask in that. Again, great stuff!
P.S. The addition at Memorial Hermann is offensive how they managed to hide the original structure. |
great pics again, especially the night ones. did you have to get permission for the interior shots?
3rd Ward looks bad; storm damaged Mississippi and Iraqi slum bad. are those horses or donkeys in that one shot? i wanted to photograph the area but never got around to it. - |
.
Great shots..love the Police and horse pic. That neighbourhood shot with the horses caught my eye aswell. We have loads of urban horses over here in the poorer neighbourhoods and am wondering if its the same in the States/Houston?
|
Great set, love the long exposure shots!

By the way, the "wards" also have areas of gentrification and in some cases very nice, up and coming neighborhoods. But I think the photos of the worst properties are something people need to see. Most people never see anything like some of those pics, including the vast majority of people in Houston. |
