Redevelopment of the Union Station Neighborhood has quickly become the national model for transit oriented development encompassing live, work, stay, connect and play destinations using the latest in sustainable community development. GE Johnson has been on the forefront of transforming the vacant rail yards into the multi-billion dollar multi-use development including the Cadence Union Station apartments, the Fresh Exchange restaurant in Union Station and the upcoming Borne Hotel and Office tower known as “Block A”. We are thrilled to announce that we will add for-sale residences to this portfolio with The Coloradan project. The $115 million development is led by BuildMark, East West Partners, and Starwood Capital Management to create THE BEST residential property in Denver.

Located directly adjacent to the Union Station Transit Hub, this luxury for-sale residential project will soar nineteen stories above the bustling neighborhood and feature retail space at ground level, two levels of below-grade resident parking, a rooftop swimming pool, and multiple living roof landscape decks. Residents of the building will enjoy stunning views of the Colorado Front Range, Coors Field and Downtown Denver. The building design incorporates distinct amenities centered on community and sustainable living. The project is pursuing LEED Gold certification and will be one of the largest for-sale residential projects planned for the Colorado Front Range in several years.

Once again, our established relationships with the client team coupled with our early preconstruction and planning efforts secured this priority project for GE Johnson. Congratulations to everyone involved, including Justin Cooper, Dan Seib, Ryan Wilson, Scott Miller, Justin Horsch, Matt Melssen, Renee Clark, Pete Kautza, Steve Eikanger, Stella Hodgkins, Taneisha Gordon and Andrew Pires.

The link was there for a while, and then changed to an error page?

Are they just maybe updating the link..... or did they already change their minds and decided not to build and cancel the project? A lot of projects have been cancelled in Denver. However.... this one would have a record time if so.......

:)

The developer asked the GC to pull the rendering as the project is likely still in the planning stages and subject to change.

The developer may have decided to pull the web page, but it seems that this project is moving forward as for the first time I see it listed in the latest den.gov Project Status Report posted on the web here:

https://www.denvergov.org/Portals/69...rt-1.13.15.pdf

page 8 (of 16), row 20 which is as such there:

DUS-Block B - The Coloradan 2014D00448 17th & Wewatta 19-Story, 340-unit Multi-Family with R Mixed-Use T-MU-30 Steve Oliver

I think that this is basically good news and increases that likelihood that this project so start going upward.

$200M, 334-unit condo complex breaks ground at Denver Union Station

Quote:

The Coloradan -- a $200 million, 334-unit condo project near Denver Union Station -- has broken ground, says the project's developer, East West Partners.

"The Coloradan is the final piece of the Union Station puzzle --- the last building to go vertical in the area surrounding the train platform and canopy and the only opportunity to own a piece of this newly iconic neighborhood," said Chris Frampton, managing partner of East West Partners.
