I'm mixed with this building, while amazing up close, it fails to impress from afar. Had the lower setback been arranged higher and that antenna be removed I would have loved this building. The original design had a much more attractive shape IMO.

i'm not a big fan of pelli, but this building is a real stunner. two thumbs up!

I love this building. But I didn't know it was mostly condos. I always thought it was an office tower.

this one looks very plain and unimposing. seems like a 600 footer

It is an office tower. 80% of the building is office space.

The condos are only on the top floors.

I love this building! At night I really love the lighting scheme, it definetly catches my eye when I'm on the purple line when I am coming into or leaving Manhattan at night.

I guess I'm in the minority here. IMO, the top part doesn't fit together well with the rest of the building, those colors don't go together at all. Just looks like part of another building stacked on top of this one. Antenna looks really bad too but that's not a big deal.

Aside from the top, the facade looks nice. At night, the lighting at the top looks sharp. Overall, I give it a mediocre rating.

yea, this has far more than 5 stories of office. Everything is office up until the second highest setback where they two obvious mechanical floors. You can see the floor height shorten on the floors above it. Those are residential.

I like Bloomie. Looks great from the park and from Queens. Much better looking close up. And looking south from the 60s on Lexington you get the triple punch of Bloomie, Citicorp, and then the Chrysler in a row. Makes a nice frame

I always like the blue in it, and it's sleek boxy shape.

the setbacks seem a little misplaced to me,And Im not realy a big fan of the color,But I really like it from some angles and the facade shape is neat, and I love the plaza thing.

The crown is lit very well at night:

I’ve always felt so/so about this building. It’s an overall handsome tower that is home to an excellent company, but the façade is not one that I admire in particular. The shaping of the tower isn’t bad and it in away ads some contrast. I like how it extends the skyline a few blocks and does it was an attractive and respectable height.

A redeeming quality of this building is the base. You have to see it in person to appreciate it as it is an amazing sight. It’s original, and to me it feels you’re in the middle of a large sculpture. The plaza is also inviting, and what is offered within the base adds some attraction, however I don’t think the tower overall gets as much credit as it deserves. I like think of the Bloomberg Tower as the Time Warner Center of the Eastside.

What's that thing on the roof? Is that supposed to be a spire or an antenna or something? Whatever it is I absolutely hate it, I love the entire design except for whatever that weird poker thing on top is...

I have always liked this tower, it extends the height uptown on Lexington, it adds to Lexington's other fun cousins, Chrysler and Citigroup.

I just love the facade, the blue glass and the stainless steel that is incorporated. It looks like a truly modern office building. (I may have grown fond of the tower because for 4.5 years while I was at Hunter College, I could just look out the window and there Bloomberg's Tower was. :D)
