Washington Heights in da house!

Where was this block? I know it's in Washington Heights or Inwood somewhere, but I don't know where exactly. I've been looking for it forever!

I was thinking Huntsville and Colorado Springs.

:psycho: Man!!!

I'm just going to make a wild guess and say it's relatively easy to get into some of those buildings since so many of these threads have so many spectacular elevated shots...

Great thread! Did you manage to get on top of one of those buildings in Stuyvesant Town? Jealous! The view is insane!

You're lucky you got out before the blizzard. Great tour.

Wadsworth Terrace, off Fairview Ave, near 193rd. It gets my vote for Most Awesome Looking residential block in North America.

Washington Heights in NYC's famed Little Cedar Rapids district.

Nope, all the elevated pics were taken from either the Williamsburg Bridge or natural outcropping in far northern Manhattan. Some of the bridge views aren't super familiar because the Williamsburg Bridge is very difficult to get pics from, due to a lot of annoying small-meshed fencing.

I think my flight out of LaGuardia was the last plane to leave NYC on the 26th. Visibility was down around 1/4 mile at the airport. What a monster storm.

Even though it can be easy to get atop some buildings, the shots in this thread are from the hills/cliffs (w/e you want to call them) of upper Manhattan.

A friend of mine lives on wadsworth terrace, you can actually see his building in many of these pics. It's a pain to walk up those streets especially when it's snowing but I do it anyway as I like a good work out. If you notice in some of those shots, some tenements are being held up from underneath by large steal beams! My friend happens to have his room right at the base of one of those buildings so it's really uncomfortable knowing there's no firm ground underneath. Good luck with that! At least the view is interesting, it's insane! Fantastic shots Thundertubs, finally a thread showing a different side of Manhattan. The usual areas are getting boring...
