How does it work? Same thing as those tripods in War of the World?

Some old shots I snapped with my 'old' Nikon camera.. all from Malmö of course.

:haha: not quite... instead of applying a flame, or direct heat to whatever you're smoking, it passes super heated air over the bowl creating a vapor as opposed to smoke... a much cleaner result is one of the many benifits of the device... it'll run you about $550 US, but its worth every penny IMO..

how it works

Hmm, I'm still not sure what it's used for? Lighting cigarettes? ;)

Thanks! I like it too, got pretty surprised when I looked at it the first time after taking it. I didin't really think when I took it, I was talking with someone at the same time. :) Your pic is great too - cool colors and lighting. And composition. Here's another one, that I took in Warsaw:

Tony Dec 2, 2005 6:06 PM

Olga!! Black and white that one!

olga Dec 2, 2005 7:23 PM

^ NO WAY. I love the colors. :)

BTW, I don't really like making color pics b/w. I think it's because I have taken a lot of b/w pics back in the old days with my Nikon FM2, developed myself in the photo lab and so on... I like the "real thing"not "fake" b/w photos. I guess this one would be OK (it's taken with the Nikon FM2) but I can't see the point in black and white digital photos. You never get se same touch. Actually I hardly edit my digital pics at all. I'm just not interested in that. I do some cropping, some contrast, that's about it.

olga Dec 2, 2005 7:42 PM

This is what b/w pics should look like. Random pics from Paris 1992 and Moscow 1995. You never get this feeling with a digital camera.
