Thanks for the downtown tour!! Ogden looks well maintained and taken care of!!

I think I saw one picture of grit.. in suburban Salt Lake Holy bologna Moroni! My Mormon mother in law always uses that last one. Some of the infill reminds me of Denver.
|
Wow, pretty.

Who doesn't like stucco?

Ogden gets a bad reputation, but from your pics you would never know. It looks like downtown is heading in the right direction! Well, for the most part; those stucco buildings could use a little more pizaz.
 |
Ogden certainly has a wonderful location with that stunning mountain backdrop. I can see why my cousin, who grew up where I did in flat boring Northwest Ohio, seems to be quite happy living in Salt Lake City.

A "Farr" better thread...

Great shots! You made Ogden look good! Ogden gets a bad rap, but I actually really like downtown.
|
Wow, impressive downtown. Nice tour!
|
Nice pictures. Ogden looks better than I thought it would.
|
Seems like there's quite a bit of development taking place there:cheers:

Nice tour, and Ogden looks pretty good. I really like that Municipal Building. But this is my favorite shot (with some downtown buildings and those great mountains):

Looks like more than a few trucks have scraped the walls of this narrow alley while passing through:

Thanks for all the comments. Ogden is a pretty nice little town and a lot is changing there. UTA is currently holding public meetings for a planned streetcar line to connect downtown and the FrontRunner station to the university and McKay-Dee hospital.
|
So that's what it looks like. Nice.
|
Nice shots! Can't wait until Frontrunner extends south of SLC
|
Ogden is pretty much a mini-Salt Lake.
It's surprising at how similar the cities are, especially with the foothills and the railroad tracks. Of course, I think area around downtown Ogden, outside of the western area, looks far more cleaner and nicer than Salt Lake. |
